Require a Shipping Quote for Some Products or Destinations

The Shipping Quote functionality can work on several different types of orders:

1) Individual products (for example, a very LARGE or HEAVY product)

2) International Orders

How it works

Ask HEROweb to turn on this module for you.

Then: A visitor to your website places their order as normal. Instead of a price for shipping, the text "Ship Quote" appears on the order at checkout. The visitor is not asked for a payment (credit card) - instead the site owner (you) is sent a message with the order information and an indication that a shipping quote is required.

You come up with a shipping amount, then send the visitor a link to a payment form. The visitor completes the payment - which takes them through the normal shopping cart process.

- You can change the message that appears on the shipping quote email. It's in your site settings or under "messages" (if you don't see it, ask us to unhide it).

- If you use International ship quote, do not turn on any UPS methods for international shipping as those will be used instead.

Designating Countries

Implementation for MightyMerchant version 4.81+

- The ship-to countries menu during the checkout process will be created from countries set up in your shipping zones

- Shipping zones can be flagged to require a shipping quote.

Early versions of MightyMerchant

- All non-US countries, including Canada. will return the international shipping quote message
