Merchant Account Set Up

If you have an established business or you anticipate that you will be getting more than 3 orders a day, then a Merchant Account is the most sensible way for you to handle your payments. Merchant Accounts do involve some additional costs (a setup fee of approximately $175, a $30 a month "gateway" charge, as well as per-transaction fees), so if you are just starting out, we recommend holding off on the merchant account until you have your site established and have determined your traffic flow.

Datahost partners with Wells Fargo to offer full-featured Merchant Accounts at a very reasonable price. You are welcome to get your own Merchant Account through another financial institution or vendor, but be sure that they use either the "Authorizenet" or "Versign" payment gateways.
