Checklist for Setting Up Your Website
 Here is a step-by-step checklist to assist you in organizing and building your website.
General Considerations
Step 1: Gather your product data and images.
Step 2: Give input to Datahost on your design.
Step 3: Decide on your payment methods and sign up for an account for processing payments.
Enter Information in the Site Manager
Site Manager items are explained in detail in the MightyMerchant Site Manager Guide.
Step 4: Enter your categories.
Step 5: Enter your product data (includes loading images).
Step 6: Enter your shipping methods.
Step 7: Enter your general site settings.
Testing: Round One
Step 8: Place test orders and make adjustments to the site as necessary.
Step 9: Add your payment methods and confirm that the payment processing is working correctly.
Make the Site Live
Step 10: Configure your email program to receive mail from the new server.
Step 11: Update your DNS Settings in your domain registration to make the site live. (Datahost can take care of this if we have registered your domain, just let us know when you're ready to go).
Testing: Round Two
Step 12: Place a test order and test the contact form on the site to ensure you are receiving orders and inquiries correctly.
Promoting Your Website
Step 13: Review your options for marketing the site and promoting it to the public.
Step 14: Use the Site Manager to monitor your site, review statistics and make updates as needed.
