Determining the URL of a Web Page
Creating links to other pages on your website (internal links) or to other websites (external links) are easy to create once you determine the URL (the web "address") of the page you want to link to, and by following a few basic steps. URLs for Internal LinksTo determine the URL for an internal page: Go to the page you want to link to and look at the URL shown in the browser. Each URL will contain "home" followed by a 3- or 4-letter code we refer to as your store id. ![]()
Example The page URL is "http://somesite.com/home/ss1/smartlist_8/flowers.html" or "http://somesite.com/home/ss1_123456/smartlist_8/flowers.html" The part of the URL to use is: "smartlist_8/flowers.html." 2. If the page URL does not contain "home/store id/" then you need the entire URL for your link.
